| Located at Zilla Parishad High School, Nidimamidi village, Ananthapur District, Andhra Pradesh, India, this project serves the children in around the villages of Nidimamidi, Kotlapalli, Gajulapalli, Kotha Nidimamidi, Settipalli and Kathivaripalli under a Sponsor-A-Child program. Out of 10 children initially sponsored in this project, two of them (Kullayappa Dudekula and Kaveri Kumtolla) are orphans and remaining all children are semi-orphan. All of these children are at the brink of discontinuing their studies due to their deprived condition before Bighelp sponsor their education. The full details of each sponsoring child are provided below. Additional children will be sponsored in this project as we continue to find the eligible children. |

| This is the first project in the district of Ananthapur and is the 19th active project for Bighelp in the state of Andhra Pradesh under Sponsor-A-Child program. This project helps the orphans and underprivileged children to continue their studies with the support of their sponsoring donors. In addition to getting financial assistance to pay the school fees, buy books, cloths, shoes, educational material and private tuition, in this program children are benefited from more individual attention by our project directors and project committee (group of Bighelp volunteers) that has been established in this village. These students will continue to get the sponsorship from Bighelp until they complete their 12th grade as long as they continue to perform well and meet the eligibility criteria. There are many children in and around the village of Nidimamidi who have no option but abandon their schooling and go to work to support their family. The situation is even worse if the child does not have parents and earn their bread themselves. For all children sponsored under this project, it was almost everyday struggle for their existence and continuing their education was distant dream. Bighelp was able to form a project committee with the support of school headmaster, teachers, and villagers to help these underprivileged children and hope to give them a gift of bright future with the help of the sponsoring donors. |

| Nidimamidi is a village in Puttaparthi Mandal of Anantapur District, Andhra Pradesh, India. It is around 27 Kilometers away from Puttaparthi. Puttaparthi is a town about 460 KMS away from Hyderabad and is connected by Road and Rail. The population of the village is about 1000 families and they are all dependent on cultivation and farm labor. During the drought season, which prevails in this district frequently, it is especially very difficult for farm labors to get their livelihood throughout the year. Bighelp project will continue in this village as long as our local project committee (group of volunteers) in this village continues to work hard and improve the educational opportunities for the needy children. |

| Zilla Parishad High School is situated in Nidimamidi village and is working since 1982. Students from nearby villages namely Kotlapalli, Gajulapalli, Buggapalli, Rachavari palli, Settipalli, Iragarajupalli, Danduvaripalli are educating themselves from this school. It is co-education school with present strength of 560 students. The school is having a land of 33 cents with enough number of class rooms and staff. |

| Inaugural function of Bighelp project at Nidimamidi has been conducted in the school premises with following personnel. 10 students have been selected studying between 5th and 9th grades. Sri. Amarnath Jayam, Exec. Vice President of Bighelp USA Sri. S.Seshagiri Rao, Advisor Bighelp Sri. B.Subbarayudu, School Head Master & Project Committee Chairman (PCC) for Bighelp Sri. K.Chenna Krishna Reddy, School Assistant & Project Director(PD) for Bighelp Sri. Gopal Naik, Village Sarpanch Sri. Akram Basha, MPTC Sri. Satyanarayana Reddy, MRP Sri. Ramana Reddy, MRP Sri. Mallikarjuna Reddy, School Teacher Sri. Babu Saheb Head Master MPP School Villagers and Guardians of students. The project inauguration was preceded by Sri. Subbarayudu PCC, Sri. Amar Jayam as Chief Guest and Sri. S.Seshagiri Rao as special invitee from Bighelp For Education. Mr.S. Seshagiri Rao explained the formation of Bighelp its aims and its present status. Chief Guest Sri. Amar Jayam spoken about Bighelp and interacted with students and advised them to concentrate on better education and improve their focus on Co-curricular activities. PCC and other members have also spoken and welcomed the trust activities and appreciated the work of Bighelp in India. Later distribution of material to 10 selected students with 2 pairs of uniforms, school bag and note books has been done by the dignitaries on the dais. |

| This project has been surveyed by Mr. Amar Jayam (Exec. Vice President of Bighelp) and Mr. Seshagiri Rao (Executive member of Bighelp) during the month June/July 2010. They made personal visits to this village, talked to the children, parents and school staff to assess the need. The executive body headed by the Bighelp President Mr. Chand Pasha has reviewed the need for the support and approved the project. |
