Dear Bighelp Family,

My name is Khushi Shah and I have been an active volunteer for the past five years. I am so proud to say that it is my pleasure to volunteer for Bighelp every year and help and support my Indian community in order to give back to the less fortunate kids in India. For this motivational goal, no contribution is a small contribution and it provides me immense satisfaction to say that I would love to donate some amount which I have earned and raised.

Ever since I was a little kid, Bighelp has motivated me to channel my inner imagination and creativity. I was able to gain writing skills by composing a poem about Bighelp, and also create beautiful pieces of artwork that would truly represent what Bighelp is all about. For this reason, I am always attracted back to provide my services to this organisation every year.

Through volunteering at this non-profit organization, I have gained a lot of leadership qualities by emceeing, coordinating at the front desk, helping in art and craft section, and fundraising for underprivileged children. Bighelp has inspired me very much in the past couple of years to be proactive on my own and contribute my time to raise funds in my community.

This year I decided to not have an extravagant sweet 16, but instead use some of those funds towards fundraising for Bighelp. In addition, I would also like to donate my first paycheck to Bighelp because I understand the value of education and how I have the ability to help contribute to a greater cause of illiteracy. This year I am additionally planning to fundraise by selling popcorn bags at the annual Bighelp event. Through these efforts, I feel a sense of accountability to give my time and dedication to this inspiring organization. Kindly accept my donation of $175 to ensure the education for poor children in India so that they are given the opportunity for a bright future.

This Thanksgiving I would like to unwrap the gift of “Literacy” and bring a smile on their faces.
